Well, it feels like the end of an era, with the final Harry Potter book due out this summer. Those of us who grew up on Harry Potter really are grown up now, and it's time for the Age of Ms Rowling to draw to a close.
it really is a momentous occaison. For those, like me, who stumbled across The Philosopher's Stone well before any of the hype set in, and have diligently followed the story ever since (no matter how many dead characters or capslock issues were thrown at us), it's symbolic of our childhood and teenage years. And no matter what you think of the books, they'll no doubt go down in history as one of the greatest children's series of all time. To have waited in line at midnight for the hardbacks to come out is something to tell the grandchildren, no matter how sad that is in the real world.

So hail to you, JK. And don't you dare disappoint us with the last novel. I mean it mendeddrum/fighting03.gif

IT IS A MADE UP STORY. VERY STRANGE. ALL ONE NEEDS DO IS TURN TO THE LAST PAGE AND THE ANSWER IS THERE. WHAT, THEREFORE, IS THE POINT OF DELIBERATELY NOT KNOWING?

...Surely the only people who don't like HP are the ones who've never read it?
Hmmmm.
I didn't like it until I read it.

I don't plan to read them, I'm happy to watch the films. Got too many books in my to-read pile as it is unsure.gif

I read the first book when I was eleven. Quite a long time after that I hoped to get one of those "Welcome to Hogwarts, you are a witch!" - letters.

I didn´t. sad.gif

Anyway I was really angry when the first film came and people who had never read the original book acted as if they knew everything about the series. mad.gif
