Rules and Guidelines
The Shades- Rules and Guidelines.
This board has been very generously provided by Forumer.com, and as such is subjected to their terms and conditions. As they reserve the right to visit this board at any time, the following rules must be abided by in order for the provision of this board to continue and for the members to gain the maximum enjoyment from it.
1. Do not post any offensive or indecent material. This includes images of a pornographic nature, or material liable to offend or be prejudicial towards other posters on the grounds of race, ethnic or religious background, physical ability or sexual orientation. Such posts will be removed, and the poster will be issued with a warning.
2. Do not make posts that advertise goods for sale, or services of any kind. This is contrary to Forumer’s terms and conditions, and will result in the post being removed and the poster being issued with a warning.
3. Do not attach malicious files to your posts. This includes video or audio files likely to cause offence as per item 1, or other forms of malware, spyware or other malicious codes. These posts will be removed, and the poster concerned will be issued with a warning.
4. Do not flame other posters or spam the boards. We at The Shades understand that in most discussions, opinions can and will differ on any given subject. This, however, does not give a poster the right to verbally attack another poster to the point where they become visibly distressed. Flaming shall include posting slanderous or inflammatory remarks liable to distress a board member or damage their standing with other board members. Flaming a poster will result in the offending posts being removed, and the flamer will be issued with a warning. Spamming, or bombarding several threads or forums with repetitive posts in order to jam the forums will result in the same action being taken.
5. Privacy. Any post that will attempt to reveal anyone’s personal/private information without their specific consent will be removed, whether or not it is available elsewhere in the public domain. In addition, any post that threatens to reveal personal/private information about any individual will also be removed. In both cases, the person responsible for the post will be issued with a warning.
6. If a poster fails to adhere to the guidelines after having received three warnings, they will be subjected to a ban. The length of the ban will vary from one month to permanently, depending upon the severity of the incident/s and any previous bans if any that were issued to the same poster. The Admin team reserves the right to permanently ban the offending member in exceptional circumstances.
